by sheer coincidence (sullivan inquired about my last name on friday), before reading up on 23andMe, i was googling the origins of my namesake (Bodinnar) this weekend and dug up a family tree dating to the 18th century, my family crest, a google map of my ancestral homestead in cornwall, england.

i was pretty overwhelmed. but now 23andMe makes all of it seem quaint.
