self tighten: remember personal affects

When I came back from DC on Wednesday, I forgot to bring my cellphone charger. I didn't realize this until my phone battery began to die on Thursday evening.

I do this all the time. Becca had to mail it to me, and until it arrives, I am without phone. Need to tighten that up. [I'm also good at leaving scarves and coats at friends' houses, in classrooms, etc. Sometimes, I put cereal boxes back in the fridge]

Meantime, if anybody has a cellphone charger that will work for an LG CU500, wanna lend it to me? I'd like to call Becca to thank her for mailing it to me.

Another Self-Tighten for Pete

Let me describe the setting of the horrific knot above...

I went to a party last night and was rocking the social tie, as I often do. After more than a couple shots, a few ladies and I began a discussion centered on my social tie and why I wear one. I mentioned, "Girls like to pull on it and play with it and it looks cute, thus making me look cute." Said ladies laughed and pulled on my tie. This begot a discussion about knot tying. I then decided to display my superior knot tying skills using one of the ladies' ties. The knot above is the result.

Where to start....
1) Displaying any type of skills at a party, be they knot tying skills, air guitar skills, bo-staff skills, etc..., is simply not tight.
2) Pointing out that I wear a social tie to garner attention from women is very untaught.
3) The knot I managed to squeak out is the least tight pile of crap I've tied since my age reached double digits.
4) Jose Cuervo is totally untaught

PS- acceptable exceptions to 1. are dance skills and karaoke skills

Bowen knows

After surrendering an 11 point lead, at home, in game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals to the Phoenix Suns, Spurs forward Bruce Bowen offers a self-TU:
"We've been in this situation before. We did a good job to get the lead. Late in the game we didn't do a good job," Spurs guard Bruce Bowen said. "We have to do a better job of tightening up more than anything else."

In addition to holding leads on his home court, Bowen could tighten up by not making so many cheap plays like clipping Amare Stoudemire's achilles heel or kneeing Steve Nash in the groin.

Pepper, you know what I'm talking about, you sports maniac.
